Welcome to Falling Deeper
We are so glad you are here!
This weekend has been prayed over and prepared with you in mind. Our hope is that these few days give you space to slow down, step away from everyday responsibilities, spend time with other women, and most importantly, seek the Lord.
Our theme for this weekend is Falling Deeper, based on Psalm 63:1.
“O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you.”
Come ready to worship, learn, share, laugh, rest, and enjoy being together. There is no pressure to fill every moment. We have intentionally made room in our weekend for quiet time, fellowship, and rest.
What to Expect
Throughout the retreat we will have teaching with Jenny Roberts, a devotional with Jeanine Garcia, testimonies from Abigail Garcia and Nancy Cheney, and worship led by Nancy Cheney and Kaylee Pederson.
Saturday afternoon is yours to enjoy. We will have crafting, hiking, sauna time, reflection time, fellowship, and plenty of room to simply relax or take a nap.
You can participate in as much or as little as you would like during our free time.
Our Home for the Weekend
We will be staying together at Yellow Birch Lodge.
1644 McKinley Blvd.
Eagle River, WI
The lodge has 8 bedrooms and space for 27 women. We will be sharing rooms and making this beautiful place our home for the weekend.
What to Bring
Bring your Bible, warm clothes, boots, toiletries and personal items, a swimsuit, and a towel.
You are also welcome to bring anything extra you may want for the activities you plan to enjoy during free time.
October in the Northwoods can be chilly, so bring comfortable layers and plan for time both indoors and outside.

Jenny Roberts
A wife and homeschool mom of three boys who finds joy in the simple things like faith family and quiet moments. She works from home . Originally from Indiana she gave her life to Jesus at eighteen and now lives in the Upper Peninsula with her high school sweetheart. In her free time she loves to walk write watercolor and spend time outdoors. Her heart is to encourage women and share God’s Word with honesty and grace.
Jeanine Garcia
Wife to Peter, mother of three sons, and grandmother to three granddaughters, she has walked with Jesus since 1984. As an entrepreneur and worship leader at Calvary Chapel, she is committed to her faith, family, and scripture. Her experiences offer a practical perspective on living a life rooted in faith.

Abigail Garcia
Abby Garcia has been following the Lord since 2007 when she fully understood that we serve a God Who Sees. She is a wife and a mom of three amazing daughters. She is blessed to be an entrepreneur and loves to volunteer with organizations in the area that work with youth. She cherishes creativity, compassion, and laughter. She has also beat the game Bop-It, which is her go-to fun fact.
Nancy Cheney
Nancy Cheney is a follower of Jesus and a worship leader for over 30 years, a wife to Chris for 18 years, and a mom to her amazing children, Jason, Jude and Lizzie. Her parents taught her from a young age how to use her gifts and talents to lead others into a closer relationship with the Lord. As a worship leader, her heart is to see all people come to know Jesus in a sweet, personal way.
The Worship Team
Kaylee Pederson
A wife, mom of two little ones, and someone who simply loves to worship and help others draw near to the heart of God. She desires to lead worship in a way that is honest, Scripture-centered, and focused on Jesus rather than the platform. Kaylee is grateful for any opportunity to create space where people can slow down, encounter the Lord, and be refreshed in His presence. Most of her days are spent caring for her family and learning to follow Jesus in the ordinary rhythms of motherhood.
Nancy Cheney
Her favorite verses are Proverbs 3:4&5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight. And Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid; for the Lord our God is the One who goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
