Children’s Ministry
At Calvary Chapel Iron River, we want our children to know Jesus, understand God’s Word, and begin building a strong biblical foundation from an early age.
Our Sunday morning Children’s Ministry is designed to give kids a safe, welcoming place to learn Scripture, ask questions, build friendships, and grow in their understanding of who God is.
Children begin the service worshiping together with the church family. After worship, they are dismissed to their classes.
Our children’s classes include:
Ages 0 through Kindergarten
Grades 1 through 5
What Does Class Look Like?
Each week, our children spend time in Scripture and work through the topic or passage being taught that day.
Depending on the lesson and age group, class may include discussion, games, puzzles, activities, or other hands-on ways to reinforce what the children have learned.
Our goal is not simply to keep kids busy during the sermon. We want them engaging with God’s Word in a way they can understand, remember, and begin applying to their own lives.
Some Sundays, the children may spend the last portion of class playing together in the gym. When this happens, parents will pick their children up from the gym rather than the classroom.
Registering Your Child
There is no online registration required.
When you arrive for church, stop by the Welcome Table before service to register your child. Our team will help you get them checked in and answer any questions you may have.
Picking Up Your Child
For the safety of our children, they will remain with their class until they are picked up after service.
A parent, guardian, or approved sibling may pick up the child.
Please follow the signs to the second floor of the Windsor Center for classroom pickup. On Sundays when the children are finishing class in the gym, pickup will take place there instead.
Our Commitment to Safety
We take the care and safety of our children seriously.
No child is left alone with an adult. Our ministry is structured so children are cared for in a group setting with appropriate supervision.
We want parents to feel comfortable knowing their children are being cared for, taught, and loved while they are with us.
